Which floors of houses should not be bought

When choosing a residence, it is recommended to avoid purchasing houses on the top or bottom floors. Although some home buyers think that the ground floor is convenient to live in and offers access to the community’s greenery, actual living experience shows that there are many inconveniences with ground floor houses. Firstly, ground floor houses tend to be more humid, especially during the rainy season in the south, where the phenomenon of moisture return is severe, the air is damp, and there are more mosquitoes, which is particularly unfavorable for residents with rheumatism. Secondly, ground floor houses have poorer lighting conditions. Due to their proximity to the ground, they are more susceptible to external noise.

In addition, it is not recommended to purchase the two floors above and below the equipment floor. The equipment floor refers to the floor where key facilities such as heating, power supply or water supply are placed, and its specific location varies from building to building. When purchasing a property, you should confirm the exact location of the equipment floor with the salesperson and try to avoid these floors. The equipment floor houses a large number of machines and equipment, which may generate significant noise and even pose a radiation risk. Long-term exposure to such an environment is harmful to human health.

The concept of the “waistline floor” may not be well-known to the general public, but it is also recommended to avoid purchasing a property on such a floor. The waistline floor is usually located at a lower or middle position within a building, depending on its height. During the house selection process, in addition to listening to the salesperson’s introduction, home buyers should have their own judgment criteria and clearly understand which floors are not suitable for living.
